KMHX/Santa Rosa Becomes 'Chris-Mix 104.9'

At 5p on FRIDAY (11/6), SONOMA MEDIA Hot AC KMHX (MIX 104.9)/SANTA ROSA, CA flipped the switch and was re-named "CHRIS-MIX 104.9" with a new "MIX" of holiday programming playing the most popular CHRISTMAS and holiday music of the season with minimal commercial interruptions.  

Look for KMHX to return to its regularly scheduled Hot AC programming on MONDAY (12/28). 

CHRIS-MIX 104.9 plays everything from "Chestnuts Roasting" and "White Christmas" to more modern holiday classics from artist such as MARIAH CAREY, TAYLOR SWIFT, and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.  They will also be spotlighting local holiday events for the community and co-sponsoring the annual SANTA ROSA tree lighting ceremony "DOWNTOWN WINTER LIGHTS" at COURTHOUSE SQUARE on FRIDAY (11/27).

According to AMATURO SONOMA MEDIA Pres. MICHAEL O'SHEA, "There’s simply no genre’ of music that is so universally adored by men, women, kids and families, than CHRISTMAS music. It’s clinically proven to lift people’s moods and create a sense of goodwill. We’re just delighted to be able to bring this unique service to SONOMA COUNY." 

ASM VP/Programming/Operations JIM MURPHY added, "I know it’s a bit early, and no we haven’t forgotten about THANKSGIVING. It’s one of our favorite holidays. But what better way to get into the holiday spirit than by listening to all of your traditional holiday favorites. After all, it IS The Most Wonderful Time of The Year."

CHRIS-MIX 104.9 PD DANNY WRIGHT commented, "We’ve spent months selecting and mixing the very best and most requested holiday songs and, I might add: No dogs! Barking dogs, I mean. I can also make listeners another guarantee: Grandma will NOT get run over by a reindeer on our new holiday music station."
