WMSR/Muscle Shoals, AL Rebrands As '94.9 The X'

Still Triple A

URBAN RADIO WMSR/MUSCLE SHOALS, AL has rebranded.  It was originally a Top 40 station and switched to a broad-spectrum Triple A a few years back -- but kept the STAR 94 brand with KID KRADDICK in the mornings.

Now under new management, the station has positioned as 94.9 THE X.  According to PD T.C. KINCEAD, the station is now running a tighter Triple A playlist with a slight Alternative lean.

“The legendary Alternative station WRAX (THE X)/BIRMINGHAM, used to also be heard here in MUSCLE SHOALS via a translator,” said KINCEAD.  “So we decided to tap into the heritage a bit.”

The station has dropped KRADDICK and now currently running jockless with plans to introduce local air talent gradually.
