Nashville Mayor Barry Names Joe Galante Co-Chair Of Music City Music Council

NASHVILLE Mayor MEGAN BARRY has named former SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman JOE GALANTE co-chair of the MUSIC CITY Music Council to serve alongside her. CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY (CAA) agent SCOTT CLAYTON will serve as vice chair.

GALANTE, the former longtime SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman, will first be tasked with hiring a new Exec. Dir., the first time the organization will employ someone in the position full-time. GALANTE will work alongside exiting co-chair and former GREAT AMERICAN COUNTRY Pres. ED HARDY to lead the search for this new position.

The MUSIC CITY Music Council will continue its focus on helping music-related businesses expand or relocate to NASHVILLE, bringing televised music shows and music-related award shows across all genres to the city, and recruiting more music-related events and conventions to MUSIC CITY. Additional priorities of the Council include supporting and expanding live music and music education in public schools.
