Radio One Mourns The Passing Of Tony Washington

March 19th, 1942-November 10th, 2015

RADIO ONE’s longtime employee TONY WASHINGTON passed TUESDAY NOVEMBER 10th.   He was 73 years old.

A Company-issued statement said, “RADIO ONE mourns the passing of our friend and colleague, TONY WASHINGTON, VP/Advertising Sales for REACH MEDIA.  It is hard to think of RADIO ONE and not think of TONY WASHINGTON. 

He joined RADIO ONE in 1991 when the company had just two radio stations in WASHINGTON, D.C., rising to GM of our WASHINGTON, DC radio stations and then VP/Advertising Sales.  TONY was as loyal and trusted employee as you could ever want, who always fiercely advocated for and protected RADIO ONE’s share of the advertising pie.  We will sorely miss him.”
