ALPHA MEDIA/SAVANNAH-HILTON HEAD raised $108,000 for CASA in their "8th Annual Dancing with the SAVANNAH Stars." Top 40 WXYY (Y100) Morning Mess Host, TC won the competition along with his partner LAUREN HURLEY from the Savannah Ballroom with a perfect score.
CASA is a national nonprofit organization which trains and supports volunteers to speak out and act as advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children. They are trained to work within the child welfare and family court systems and are appointed by judges to individual cases. With the help of a CASA volunteer, a child is half as likely to languish in the foster care system, and that much more likely to find a safe and permanent home.
VP/Market Manager GIGI SOUTH commented, “We’re so proud of the multi-talented TC, and delighted to bring awareness for CASA, who looks out for local kids in need. Go TC!”
Dir./Programming & Operations ROB WALKER said, “TC translated what he does on the air each day to the dance floor. We are proud to have a member of the staff that walks the walks and that can do it with such flair in our local community!”
“I’m humbled, thankful and my gluts are a bit sore but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and helping such an extraordinary charity like CASA.” TC MICHAELS remarked.
