Old Sidekick Southside Steve Visits 96 Rock/Atlanta's Regular Guys

In an emotional reunion culminating in his being shot in the backside with a BB gun- just like old times- SOUTHSIDE STEVE RICKMAN, former sidekick/target/human punching bag for CLEAR CHANNEL Rock WKLS (96 ROCK)/ATLANTA's THE REGULAR GUYS, paid a visit to the morning show MONDAY. RICKMAN, who left the show when the GUYS were fired for the infamous backwards-porn mishap in 2004, later hosted afternoons on the station with TIM RHODES before getting the ax himself in 2004; his return was prompted by a recent call to REGULAR GUYS President/CEO LARRY WACHS, who put the on-air reunion to a vote at regularguys.com. 

RICKMAN chatted with WACHS and co-GUY ERIC VON HAESSLER, gave WACHS a rare hug, took calls from listeners, made current voice guy/sidekick TIM "THE PORN CZAR" ANDREWS fear for his job, and submitted to a round of the show's old staple "Shoot STEVE," in which his incorrect answers to trivia questions earned him shots in the butt from a WACHS-wielded BB gun (and tickets to a JOURNEY-DEF LEPPARD concert). RICKMAN agreed to return (thus far unpaid) for another appearance TUESDAY.

In other REGULAR GUYS news, crafty lefthander WACHS will finally get his chance to throw from the mound at TURNER FIELD before TUESDAY night's BRAVES game in his quest to break 80 mph with a fastball.
