ENTERCOM Talk WRKO/BOSTON hosted a radiothon from the SEAPORT HOTEL AND WORLD TRADE CENTER on FRIDAY, NOV. 13th from 6a-7p. This day was filled with moving stories from veterans, their families and FISHER HOUSE BOSTON staff. KIM CARRIGAN, BARRY ARMSTRONG, JEFF KUHNER and HOWIE CARR anchored a day of inspiring and gut-wrenching interviews with wounded veterans and their families.
In addition to the WRKO listeners, MARK WAHLBERG, MIKE ERUZIONE and others called with their donations. When the event ended, over $357,000 had been raised for THE FISHER HOUSE BOSTON and their continued efforts to provide a safe and welcoming environment for veterans and their families as they stay in BOSTON to receive medical treatment.
“FISHER HOUSE is an incredible organization, attending to the care and housing of families who have already made such a sacrifice for the American people," WRKO OM MICHAEL CZARNECKI said. "I am so proud of the WRKO and FISHER HOUSE staff for all of their hard work today. Once again the WRKO listeners demonstrate that they’re true patriots in their love of our country and support of our troops.
