WXMG/Columbus, OH Goes Boom!

RADIO ONE Urban AC WXMG (106.3)/COLUMBUS, OH is now airing the "BOOM" format.  Last week, the company announced an LMA of 2 stations in the market and the frequency change of MAGIC to 95.5 and the rebirth of Gospel JOY 107.1 (NET NEWS 11/12).  

The 106.3 frequency launched its new sound YESTERDAY (11/16) with LL COOL J's "The Boomin System."

WXMG's conversion to BOOM 106.3 completes the now four-station Urban cluster for RADIO ONE/COLUMBUS. It joins Urban WCKX (POWER 107.5), Urban AC WZOH (MAGIC 95.5) and Inspiration WHOK (JOY 107.1).  

This is the 5th BOOM station launched by RADIO ONE. KROI (BOOM 92)/HOUSTON launched the Throwback Hip-Hop brand in OCTOBER 2014, followed by WPHI (BOOM 107.9)/PHILADELPHIA, KSOC (BOOM 94.5)/DALLAS and WPZE (BOOM 102.9)/ATLANTA.
