Bell Cuts Hit Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, TSN Radio

BELL MEDIA's job cuts spread to VANCOUVER and TORONTO TUESDAY (11/17), with the VANCOUVER SUN reporting that at least 18 staffers at the TV/radio cluster there were let go in the company-wide layoffs and word getting out about the expected layoffs in TORONTO and MONTREAL as well as at the national TSN RADIO network.

Among the radio cuts were Sports CKST-A (TSN 1040)/VANCOUVER's CANUCKS studio host and fill-in talk host JEFF PATERSON, late night "GAME NIGHT" host MATT BAKER, and Producer CAM MITCHELL.

In TORONTO, according to THE GLOBE AND MAIL, News-Talk CFRB-A (NEWSTALK 1010)/TORONTO Sports Director and weekend host MIKE TOTH exited, and News Anchor DAVID WOODARD was also laid off.  In MONTREAL, the TORONTO STAR reports that reporter ANGELICA MONTGOMERY has exited News-Talk CJAD-A.  At the network level, BELL laid off TSN RADIO morning co-host DAVID BASTL, reporter SHERI FORDE, and Senior Producer TODD HAYES.
