Universal Music Publishing Concludes Agreement With STX Entertainment

UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP has signed an exclusive, worldwide agreement with STX ENTERTAINMENT (STX), it was announced by UMPG Chairman/CEO JODY GERSON and STX President SOPHIE WATTS, COO THOMAS McGRATH and EVP/Head Of Music JASON MARKEY.
Through the agreement, UMPG will administer and represent the studio’s future soundtracks, scores and catalog of related music publishing rights across all media. STX is currently on track to produce, market and release at least 12 major motion pictures a year. Upcoming films from the company include the JULIA ROBERTS thriller "Secret In Their Eyes"; "The Boy", a horror film from director WILLIAM BRENT BELL ("The Devil Inside"), and the epic,MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY action-drama "The Free State Of Jones," from writer-director and four-time OSCAR nominee GARY ROSS. Earlier this year, STX released the suspense thriller, "The Gift," with JASON BATEMAN and REBECCA HALL.
