Warner Bros., Esurance To Sponsor Pandora's 'Serial' Streams

CHICAGO PUBLIC MEDIA News-Talk WBEZ/CHICAGO's "SERIAL" has secured two sponsors for the PANDORA streaming of both of its seasons, reports AD WEEK, with WARNER BROS. and ESURANCE signing on to support the popular podcast on PANDORA.

In the deal, WARNER BROS. will be heard as sponsor of the stream of the show's first season and the first half of season 2, promoting the movie "IN THE HEART OF THE SEA."  ESURANCE will then sponsor the streams of the second half of season 2. The Season 1 stream launches TUESDAY, with Season 2 following at an undisclosed date.

The deals do not affect other sources for the show, including iTUNES and the show's RSS feed, and are independent of the sponsorships attached to the downloadable episodes.
