Star 99.1 Flips The Christmas Switch in New York City

It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas!

PILLAR OF FIRE Contemporary Christian WAWZ (Star 99.1)/NYC has flipped the CHRISTMAS music switch, marking the beginning of the CHRISTMAS season in the tri-state area. The station will play all-CHRISTMAS music through CHRISTMAS DAY.

STAR 99.1 PD RICK HALL said, "Our listeners love CHRISTMAS music and have been asking for it for weeks.  We’re thrilled to be the first in the NYC tri-state with CHRISTMAS music."

This year marks the station’s first year partnering ANGEL TREE, a charity run by the SALVATION ARMY, providing hope to disadvantaged children during the CHRISTMAS season.  STAR 99.1 will collect toys, books and other items requested by the children that will later be distributed by the SALVATION ARMY.
