BRIDGE RATINGS Streaming Analytics Division has just released its first “Audience Streaming Compatibility” study which compounds the information now available to broadcast radio programmers to better align their music with the true consumption by their listeners.
Pres./CEO DAVE VAN DYKE said, "In the past, radio programmers would often use compatibility testing of their music or 'fit tests' to make sure the music they aired was appropriate for their target audience. This type of research used comparatively small samples but was useful for its time. Today, on-demand streaming analysis improves compatibility confidence due to the thousands of behaviors we're able to track."
"A simple example of an artist or song's format compatibility is evidenced by an analysis of ADELE's just-released new album '25', continued VAN DYKE. "This album is a rare occurrence by today's music industry standards. Her initial release from the album, 'Hello' reached a million downloads faster than any other release. This is because of the compatibility ADELE's music achieves across multiple music formats. It is a rare mass appeal hit for today's digital consumer. The test of true format compatibility is now available to programmers through streaming consumption analysis."
