Morning show host for Contemporary Christian WRBS (95.1)/BALTIMORE DICK IRELAND will not be returning to the air. He is continuing his rehabilitation after suffering a stroke on MAY 11. IRELAND spent 26 years as the morning host at CBS RADIO AC WLIF (101.9)/BALTIMORE before moving to WRBS.
“Physically I am doing well. There are times when I can’t express everything I want to say,” says IRELAND, “but I am making progress in speech therapy. Our prayer is that the Lord would be glorified through this experience.”
At a recent gathering in his honor, WRBS presented IRELAND with a plaque containing the microphone he used at WRBS.
WRBS is expecting to announce a permanent replacement in the next few weeks. Those wishing to contact IRELAND may write him in care of WRBS, 3600 Georgetown Road, BALTIMORE, MD 21227.
