KHQT/Las Cruces 'Pack The Van!' Promotion Collects Food For The Less Fortunate

ADAMS RADIO GROUP Top 40/Rhythmic KHQT (HOT 103.1)/LAS CRUCES, NM, dedicated two full days to its fourth annual food drive, “Pack The Van!," with sponsors PREMIER DISTRIBUTING, BUDWEISER and LOWES SUPERMARKET to help benefit CASA DE PEREGRINOS, a local nonprofit emergency food program which provides free supplemental groceries to individuals and families at risk of hunger in DONA ANA COUNTY.

KHQT PD/morning show host JOEY HERNANDEZ commented: “Every year, the HOT 103 Familia looks forward to putting together this event, especially because we know the donations can really go along way during the holiday season. This is one of the most rewarding parts of the job, and to see our listeners be as dedicated as we are to helping our cause is truly a unique bond we get to share with our listeners.”

Promotions Dir./morning show co-host JACKIE WILKINSON added: “This event always gets me in the holiday spirit; we most definitely have some of the best listeners in LAS CRUCES!”

Market Manager TOM NANKIVAL and marketing consultant TANYA VARELA helped out with this year’s food drive, collecting 2,259 pounds of food, which will be able to provide 2,485 meals to those less fortunate in the immediate area.
