Five leading broadcasters and a long-time station owner have been elected to the TENNESSEE RADIO HALL OF FAME and will be inducted on SATURDAY, MAY 14th at the EMBASSY SUITES IN MURFREESBORO, TN. Additionally, iHEARTMEDIA Country WUSY (US 101)/CHATTANOOGA, TN has been named Legendary Station Of The Year.
This year's inductees include:
WUSY/CHATTANOOGA MD/afternoon host BILL "DEX" POINDEXTER; EARL FREUDENBERG, on the air in CHATTANOOGA more than 50 years, most at then-Country WDOD-AM and FM; NASHVILLE-based syndicated host CATHY MARTINDALE; KEITH LANDECKER, a veteran of 27 years doing afternoons and PD at Urban WJTT/CHATTANOOGA; longtime WGNS/ MURFREESBORO owner BART WALKER; and MAXINE HUMPHREYS, who spent 62 years doing news in the TRI-CITIES area.
