John Fogerty, Spoon, Host Kevin Bacon Added To John Lennon Birthday Bash

Imagine: John Lennon 75th Birthday Concert

JOHN FOGERTY and SPOON are the latest artists added to the lineup taking part in IMAGINE: JOHN LENNON 75th BIRTHDAY CONCERT, at the THEATER AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5th at 7:30p (ET) airing on AMC on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19th at 9p (ET/PT) (NET NEWS 11/3).  KEVIN BACON has been named to host the event.

The concert event and broadcast premiere will also include very special video appearances by the remaining members of THE BEATLES, PAUL and RINGO.

Also announced today is the all-star house band featuring: GREG PHILLINGANES (STEVIE WONDER, ERIC CLAPTON) on keyboards, drummer KENNY ARONOFF (JOHN MELLENCAMP), bassist LEE SKLAR (JAMES TAYLOR), FELICIA COLLINS and SID McGINNIS (PAUL SHAFFER CBS ORCHESTRA) on guitars, along with keyboardist BOH COOPER, percussionist TAKU HIRANO and backing vocalists TAKU HIRANO and TRYA JULIETTE.

Previously announced performers include ALOE BLACC, ERIC CHURCH, SHERYL CROW, BRANDONFLOWERS, PETER FRAMPTON, JUANES, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, PAT MONAHAN, TOM MORELLO, WILLIE NELSON, THE ROOTS, CHRIS STAPLETON and STEVEN TYLER.
