USA Radio Networks To Launch 'Trending Today USA'

New Show

In his first move as VP/Programming at USA RADIO NETWORKS, veteran talker RUSTY HUMPHRIES is launching "TRENDING TODAY USA," a new talk shot focusing on topics being discussed on social media, on JANUARY 11th.

“This program will focus on what AMERICA is discussing, viewing and sharing in social media,” said HUMPHRIES, “Everything has been reimagined, from the network commercials, to the music, to the way the news is being presented -- this will be talk radio for the social media mindset!... I believe this show, and others like it, will restore talk programing to prominence. It will breathe life into a format aching for a resuscitation."

“Don’t get me wrong, there are some very talented people on the air today, but the industry needs some shaking up,” he continued. “Listeners have moved away from traditional platforms and are spending their time on social media. We're producing a show which will not showcase my opinions, but will showcase the social news being devoured by Americans.

“Americans are consuming news more than ever, but they are doing it on different platforms like FACEBOOK, TWITTER, YOUTUBE and LINKEDIN. With that in mind, I have worked with a group of social media giants to craft a show that lowers the bellicose and increases the pacing and news.  I am more proud of this program than anything I have done in radio to date.”
