First Ventures Sells Two More FM Translators

FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. found a buyer for two of the translators it put up for auction or sale, selling K210EA/FORDYCE, AR and W278AT/WINONA, MS to MORGAN DOWDY's COAST RADIO GROUP, INC. for $35,000 and $30,000, respectively.

In other filings with the FCC, REACH COMMUNICATIONS INC. is selling W252BB/VERO BEACH SOUTH, FL to TREASURE COAST EDUCATIONAL MEDIA, INC. for $30,000 in a promissory note with $3,000 down, $3,000 at grant of FCC consent to the transfer, and 24 monthly payments of $1,000.

WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA PUBLIC RADIO, INC. is selling the construction permit for W284CO/HENDERSONVILLE, NC to JBN, INC. for $25,000.

WILLIAM P. ROGERS is selling W237AQ/KILLEN, AL to DAVID M. BAUGHN for $500.

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling the construction permit for K264BX/COEUR D'ALENE, ID to MORGAN MURPHY MEDIA's QUEENB RADIO, INC. for $30,000.

COMMUNITY BROADCASTING, INC. is selling the construction permit for K270CA/AVA, MO to KOMC-KRZK, LLC for $15,000.

BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has requested a Silent STA for WKGE-A/JOHNSTOWN, PA due to transmitter failure.

AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION has applied for a Silent STA for K220FP/ELK CITY, OK after its tower collapsed in an ice storm.  CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has also filed for Silent STAs for K208FD/ELK CITY, OK and K218ER/BERLIN, OK due to the ELK CITY tower collapse.

CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has in addition filed for an extension of its Silent STA for W217BK/SOUTHWEST HARBOR, ME while it tries to find a new tower to relocate the station.

CARL TUTERA has requested a Silent STA for W230CB/ORMOND BEACH, FL due to loss of the station's programming source.

RADIO DISNEY CHICAGO, LLC has closed on the sale of WRDZ-A/LA GRANGE-CHICAGO. IL to POLNET COMMUNICATIONS, LTD. for $3.45 million.

CALVARY CHAPEL OF RUSSELL has closed on the sale of W264AT/WARREN, PA to FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. for $20,000.

MATIAS MARTINEZ, JR. and CONNIE F. MARTINEZ, principals of SANGRE DE CRISTO BROADCASTING CO., INC., licensee of Adult Hits KMDZ (SAM FM), Spanish Variety KNMX-A, and a new FM in LAS VEGAS, NM, have closed on the transfer of their interests to son MATIAS C. MARTINEZ, who in turn gifted 49% to his wife MARTHA MARTINEZ (49%).

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of W238CB/DARLINGTON, WI to SCOTT THOMPSON's BIG RADIO for $9,500.

And RODNEY D. TOW, bankruptcy trustee for ABLE RADIO CORP., has closed on the sale of the construction permit for a new FM at AGUILA, AZ to MATINEE MEDIA CORP. for $332,500.
