BEASLEY Top 40/Rhythmic WLLD (WiLD 94.1)/TAMPA kicks off ORLANDO’S TOY DRIVE, MONDAY, DECEMBER 7th. This year marks the fourth installment of the annual event that kicks off with WiLD 94.1’s PD and MORNING FREAK SHOW Host, ORLANDO DAVIS living 30 feet in the air, atop the TOY DRIVE TOWER. ORLANDO will live there for five days and nights to help collect donations for the children and families of the TAMPA BAY community.
All donations collected will benefit THE CHILDREN’S HOME, a non-profit organization which serves as a sanctuary to abused, neglected, or abandoned children in the TAMPA BAY community. New, unwrapped toys, bicycles, and gift cards will all be accepted during ORLANDO'S TOY DRIVE for children of all age ranges as THE CHILDREN’S HOME helps everyone from toddlers to teens.
ORLANDO commented, "TOY DRIVE is special to me because we assist a charity like THE CHILDREN’S HOME accomplish their goals while helping other charities as well. It was important to me to find ways to help the TAMPA BAY community give a little, which as a whole, can help a lot. That’s a win for all of us but most importantly for the children in need to feel the CHRISTMAS spirit!"
THE CHILDREN'S HOME CEO/Pres. IRENE K. RICKUS added, "The success of ORLANDO’S TOY DRIVE shows how active and caring the TAMPA BAY community is, and we feel blessed to live in such a special place. Seeing the smiles and excitement of the children when they open their gifts is heartwarming. We are so grateful to ORLANDO, WiLD 94.1, and our many friends that help make CHRISTMAS a happy time for all the girls and boys at THE CHILDREN’S HOME,
ORLANDO will remain on the TOY DRIVE TOWER, for five days, broadcasting for 16 hours per day. The two-story structure is equipped with broadcast set up, and minimal amenities, including a tent with mattress, blankets, and a space heater. Last year, ORLANDO’S TOY DRIVE received 304 bicycles and over $12,250 in gift cards for THE CHILDREN’S HOME.
