CKNW/Vancouver's Orphans Fund Raises Over $2 Million For Needy B.C. Children

CORUS News-Talk CKNW-A/VANCOUVER raised C$2,065,233 on WEDNESDAY (12/2) through its CKNW Orphans’ Fund's 38th annual Pledge Day in an all-day broadcast aired on radio and on GLOBAL BC television for children in need in BRITISH COLUMBIA.  Donations included a surprise C$150,000 donation from one individual donor and an additional C$100,000 from the ROBERTSHAW family to put the total over C$2 million for the first time ever.

“What a humbling day for everyone at CKNW. We are all experiencing an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the truly remarkable support from our listeners, partners and friends. The CKNW Orphans’ Fund is near and dear to our hearts and it is evident today, even after all these years, it remains so for this community as well.
