UNLV Board Tables Vote On Nevada Public Radio Takeover Of KUNV/Las Vegas

The proposed takeover by NEVADA PUBLIC RADIO of the operation of the UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA-LAS VEGAS' Jazz KUNV (THE SOURCE)/LAS VEGAS has been put on hold as the UNLV board has tabled a vote on the proposal, reports the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL.

A vote scheduled for FRIDAY (12/4) on the matter was postponed after over a dozen opponents questioned the deal, with some worried about the station becoming more like NEVADA PUBLIC RADIO's crosstown News-Talk KNPR and others wanting more time to consider the proposal. 

UNLV President LEN JESSUP asked the board to put the vote on hold for now.
