KX 93.5/Laguna Beach, CA, Adds New Shows To Lineup

LAGUNA RADIO INC. Alternative KXRN-LP (KX 93.5 GENERATIONAL ALT ROCK)/LAGUNA BEACH, CA, will debut four new radio programs, hosted by a mix of on-air veterans and celebrities.
The shows are: “Colored Glass Radio” with ORANGE COUNTY singer/songwriter MATT COSTA; “Alter-Native” with GRAMMY-winning JAMAICAN reggae music aficionado NATIVE WAYNE JOBSON; “AMERICAN Parlor Songbook” with piano composer JP HOUSTON, and “Talking Ventures” with business executive JUSTIN KLEIN.
Commenting on the announcement, PD/Founder TYLER RUSSELL said: “KX 93.5 has been LAGUNA’s only FM for more than three years, and it hopes to continue expanding its content and growing its national recognition among listeners and musicians.
“I’m really excited for these new programs, which remain true to our 'GENERATIONAL ALT ROCK' format while entertaining, educating, and inspiring listeners in new ways."
“Colored Glass Radio,” airing TUESDAYS at 11p (PT), is dedicated to past and present recordings that inspire, hand-picked by COSTA, who has made his mark in indie/folk music with four well-regarded albums over the past decade.
“Alter-Native,” airing FRIDAYS at 9p (PT), is a rock/reggae show featuring artists like THE CLASH, SUBLIME, BOB MARLEY, 311, REBELUTION and SLIGHTLY STOOPID, hosted by the two-time GRAMMY winning producer JOBSON, who has worked with GWEN STEFANI, KEITH RICHARDS, JIMMY CLIFF and many more.
“AMERICAN Parlor Songbook,” airing SUNDAYS at 4p (PT), is recorded live every week at clubs and theaters around SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA and features original songs, stories, sketches, and special guests from stand-up comedians to musical raconteurs, hosted from the piano by HOUSTON and his wife JULIE VAN DUSEN.
“Talking Ventures,” airing SATURDAYS at 7a (PT), explores current business and economic trends hosted by KLEIN, a KPP FINANCIAL EVP, who will interview local business leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss opportunities, challenges and experiences related to their industry and the broader economy.
