Wendy King Dies; Hosted 'Party Line' On KDKA/Pittsburgh For 20 Years

Wendy King Passes

Condolences to family and friends of WENDY KING, who co-hosted the long-running "PARTY LINE" with her husband ED on KDKA-A/PITTSBURGH.  Mrs. KING passed away MONDAY (12/7) in GREEN TREE, PA at 92.

The KINGS hosted "PARTY LINE" 10p-midnight six nights a week from 1951 through ED's 1971 death.  They met at WOWO-A/FORT WAYNE, where WENDY KING started as a writer filling her future husband's position during his service in WORLD WAR II.  She retired after ED's death.
