With KLEVEN BROADCASTING COMPANY OF MINNESOTA's closing on the sale of Country KKOJ-A and Oldies KRAQ/JACKSON, MN and the construction permit for K249EO/SPIRIT LAKE, IA to COMMUNITY FIRST BROADCASTING, LLC for $735,000, the new owners have announced some programming changes, swapping formats on the stations.
In a move announced on the air and at the stations' shared website, the Country format will move to KRAQ, which will change calls to KUXX (EXTREME COUNTRY 105.7) and will also add MARTIN COUNTY WEST HIGH SCHOOL sports. Meanwhile, KKOJ-A will pick up a Classic Hits format and will add the FM translator simulcast on K249EO "in the next couple of weeks," and will carry JACKSON COUNTY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL sports.
