DJ Shadow Signs DJ Harrison To Liquid Amber Label

Iconic EDM star DJ SHADOW has inked DJ HARRISON to his LIQUID AMBER imprint.

The first taste of the signing is HARRISON's "Songs From The Black Water'" EP, out next FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18th exclusively on a limited run of cassettes, A SOUNDCLOUD sampler is now available featuring several of the tracks, which can be heard here.  This hazy, jazz-inspired hip-hop was made on analog equipment, with the EP's old-school vibes still managing to fit into the modern beat scene.

“I think it reflects an age of when the beat tape showed who a producer was, before the age of the internet,” explained HARRISON, whose real name is DEVONNE HARRIS.  The RICHMOND, VA, native has been involved in a wide range of different musical projects thanks to the city’s small-town vibe, and these eclectic experiences shine through on this first release.

HARRISON got involved with LIQUID AMBER after opening for DJ SHADOW and CUT CHEMIST on their "Renegades of Rhythm" tour, and his music has been praised by artists like QUESTLOVE and TALIB KWELI.
