CUMULUS BIRMINGHAM-HUNTSVILLE-MONTGOMERY Regional VP JOHN WALKER has joined SUMMITMEDIA as Market President for BIRMINGHAM and TUSCALOOSA.

WALKER moved into radio from retail in 1996 in WICHITA; he became GSM for two of then-CLEAR CHANNEL's stations in that market in 2003 and then was upped to Director of Sales of the cluster six months later.  He was named Market Manager for CUMULUS/TOPEKA in 2006 and for CUMULUS/COLUMBIA-JEFFERSON CITY, MO in 2008.  WALKER moved to ALABAMA as VP/Market Manager for HUNTSVILLE in 2009 and BIRMINGHAM in 2012.
