FEDERATED MEDIA News-Talk WOWO-A/FORT WAYNE is moving its FM simulcast from WFWI at 92.3 FM to translator W298BJ. The move is beginning today with the launch of the translator; the full-power WFWI signal will get a new format shortly.
“It’s just a different place to listen to us,” said PD RYAN WRECKER. “The change from 92.3FM to 107.5FM means our listeners will need to update their radios to get the same news, weather and talk coverage they listen to now..... All of the programming will remain the same, the only change is where you can listen to us.” The AM side remains unchanged at 1190 KHz.
WOWO also raised over $141,805 for THE BURN COUNCIL OF NORTHERN INDIANA, KATE'S KART, THE MCMILLEN CENTER FOR HEALTH EDUCATION, and the COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION NETWORK during the annual WOWO Radiothon for PENNY PITCH, and that total will be matched by BRIGADOON FITNESS thanks to a new partnership. “We’ve never raised more, and as always the community stepped up to help its own,” said WRECKER. “The $141,000 will be matched. That means each charity will be able to make an immediate impact all across northeastern INDIANA.”
