DOWNTOWN MUSIC PUBLISHING have entered a strategic agreement with GRAMMY and NOVELLO Award-winning singer-songwriter IMOGEN HEAP for music rights administration. In addition to her solo career and as part of FROU FROU, HEAP is a co-writer and producer on TAYLOR SWIFT's multi-platinum "1989," which was also recently covered by RYAN ADAMS.
HEAP recently introduced her concept of "Fair-Trade Music," dubbed "Mycelia," and released a new track, "Tiny Human," using blockchain and smart contracts technology at a two-day event in LONDON. HEAP will utilize DOWNTOWN's platform to collect royalties on some of her existing catalog and will work with DOWNTOWN's technology division to explore new ways to equitably license, distribute and collect royalties on behalf of all songwriters and artists.
