WSRB/Chicago Trims Airstaff

CRAWFORD BROADCASTING Urban AC WSRB (SOUL 106.3)/CHICAGO has trimmed its airstaff in an apparent effort to reduce its operating costs. Midday personality FIONA VERDE has been terminated, along with night smoother MEL DEVONNE and weekender and veteran CHICAGO personality JIM RAGGS. The station launched its present format in 2003 and currently offers STEVE HARVEY in the morning and MICHAEL BAISDEN in the afternoon. According to the latest ARBITRON ratings, the station ranked 28th overall with a 12+ share of 1.4.
