Scott Weiland Died Of 'Mixed Drug Toxicity' According To Medical Examiner

SCOTT WEILAND died of a "mixed drug toxicity: cocaine, ethanol and methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), according to a report issued by the HENNEPIN COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER's office in a press release issued this morning. "Other significant conditions are noted as atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, history of asthma and multi-substance dependence. Manner of death is accident."
The 48-year-old lead singer of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and VELVET REVOLVER passed away in MINNESOTA on DECEMBER 3rd while on tour with his band THE WILDABOUTS (NET NEWS 12/4).
His funeral was held in LOS ANGELES on DECEMBER 10th.
