BUZZANGLE MUSIC‘s Album Project (12/11-17) signaled yet another big week for ADELE, as her 25 remained in the top spot for the fourth time since its NOVEMBER 20th release.
COLDPLAY’s A Head Full of Dreams, which held the #2 spot in its debut last week, fell to #7 as recent powerhouse records from JUSTIN BIEBER, THE WEEKEND, PENTATONIX and ONE DIRECTION leaped ahead of it. Another album regaining steam is CHRIS STAPLETON’s "Traveller," which has slowly been climbing back toward the top of the chart after months of positive buzz including big wins at the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION AWARDS and multiple GRAMMY nominations. PENTATONIX’s "That’s CHRISTMAS To Me" was not the only surging holiday record, as MICHAEL BUBLE’s "CHRISTMAS" re-entered the top ten, more than four years after it’s release.
New releases having early success on the Album Project chart for the week thus far (DECEMBER 18-19) include CHRIS BROWN’s "Royalty," CAGE THE ELEPHANT’s "Tell Me I’m Pretty," PUSHA T’s "King Push - Darkest Before The Dawn: The Prelude," and the soundtrack to the blockbuster new STAR WARS film, "The Force Awakens."
