As the year comes to an end, the number of station sales applications filed with the FCC have dwindled, with no new deals popping up in the Commission database for TODAY (12/30).
One prominent deal, however, has closed, with the sale by RIC and ROZENE SUPPLE's RR BROADCASTING/GLEN BARNETT, INC. of Country KDES (98.5 THE BULL)/CATHEDRAL CITY, CA and Hot AC KPSI-F (MIX 100.5)/PALM SPRINGS to ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC made official. The price was $3 million.
Also, COMMON FREQUENCY, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KHCF/MORGAN HILL, CA while it replaces its transmitter and makes other minor engineering changes. The licensee told the FCC that it will get KHCF back on the air "well before MAY 2016."
And EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has filed for a Silent STA for K221FT/TWIN FALLS, ID after losing the satellite feed at the station.
