WMGK/Philadelphia Holds DeBella's 2nd Annual Mascot Mayhem at Big Boulder

GREATER PHILADELPHIA Classic Rock WMGK-F (102.9)/PHILADELPHIA's JOHN DeBELLA is holding his 2nd annual MASCOT MAYHEM, FRIDAY, JANUARY 22nd at BIG BOULDER SKI RESORT from 2-7p (ET).

Up to 20 of the area’s most famous mascots will take part in this ski race down the mountain to claim the title of MASCOT MAYHEM CHAMPION and score a free $5,000 WMGK-FM commercial schedule for the business they represent.  Those watching the race will also have the chance to win an APPLE VACATIONS getaway to RIU PALACE in MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA.  

The event is part of MGK DAY at BIG BOULDER, with listeners able to purchase $10.29 lift tickets online for skiing, classic rock music in the lodge and plenty of MGK giveaways.  The idea came from WMGK morning man DeBELLA's desire to "add something crazy" to the day's activities.  He went on-air and asked listeners for ideas about what he could do and after two days of interesting suggestions from tons of MGK listeners, MASCOT MAYHEM was born.

Last year’s winner was TRICKY THE FOX from POCONO RACEWAY, who edged out PHILLY PRETZEL FACTORY’s PHIL E PRETZEL in a highly contested match-up.

The station has already secured commitments for this year from PHIL E PRETZEL, HOOTER THE TEMPLE OWL, FRANKLIN the 76ERS' mascot and FOX 29's BUS STOP BUDDY.
