Billy Corgan Unveils New Original Theme Song For Impact Wrestling Premiere

SMASHING PUMPKINS front man BILLY CORGAN has created an all-new original theme song,"Roustabout," for IMPACT WRESTLING.

CORGAN, in his role as Senior Producer Of Creative And Talent Development at IMPACT WRESTLING, had originally written the song for a future project, but decided to release it as the new theme when he learned the action-packed flagship program was moving to POP, a network that celebrates the excitement and fun of being a fan, As the new exclusive U.S. television home for IMPACT WRESTLING. Since POP is the ultimate destination for fan-centric programming, CORGAN felt “Roustabout” would capture the passion that surrounds IMPACT WRESTLING while still aligning with the values of the network. BILLY partnered with the network and IMPACT WRESTLING's head of creative and production to create the mix of music and imagery that would build that excitement.

Commented IMPACT WRESTLING SVP Of Television JOHN GABURICK: “BILLY and I were discussing creative elements for the show when he suggested the song and presented the opportunity to use it on IMPACT WRESTLING. To be able to use an unreleased SMASHING PUMPKINS song is awesome and sets a commanding stage as fans tune in every week."

The new song will debut on IMPACT WRESTLING with the live two-hour premiere on TONIGHT, JANUARY 5th at 9p (ET/PT) on POP.
