Radio vet BARRY FOX has joined CUMULUS/WILMINGTON, NC for OM/PD chores at the five-station cluster, which includes Country WWQQ, AC WGNI, Urban WMNX, Classic Hits WKXS and News/Talk/Sports WAAV. FOX will also handle afternoons on WWQQ, where he succeeds former PD BRIAN SIMS, who exited in SEPTEMBER (NET NEWS 9/14).
“I am thrilled to join CUMULUS during such an exciting time and blessed to have the opportunity to work and live in one of the best areas of the country," said FOX. "I look forward to working with the strong team already in place and helping them fully reach their potential.” Most recently PD at CAPITOL AC WRAL/RALEIGH, NC, FOX has also worked at CLEAR CHANNEL (Now iHEARTMEDIA)/LEXINGTON. Send congrats here.
"I’m excited to welcome BARRY to our leadership team," said WILMINGTON VP/Market Manager ERIC McCART. "He brings extensive programming expertise to our cluster, along with a proven ability to think strategically and will provide solid strategic direction for all of five our local radio stations. He will be a real asset for our listeners, advertisers and employees."
