The ALBRIGHT & O’MALLEY & BRENNER Pre-CRS Seminar, with its 22nd annual edition set for MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8th at the OMNI DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE from 10:30a-1:30p (CT) (NET NEWS 12/8/2015), has bolstered its lineup with a special, intimate performance from music sponsor REPUBLIC NASHVILLE's artist BRETT YOUNG. The newcomer is currently in the studio with award-winning producer DAN HUFF and will play new music for the A&O&B seminar.
Additionally, SPOTIFY Global Head of Country Music Programming JOHN MARKS will take to the A&O&B seminar stage to share three platform perspectives on the format -- FM, satellite, and pure play -- as well as addressing the importance of music discovery, which is an initiative he spearheaded during his time as SIRIUSXM Sr. Dir./Country Programming.
Already confirmed for the seminar is GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM winner and NASHVILLE SONGWRITER'S HALL OF FAME member DON SCHLITZ, who will share his thoughts on storytelling and how to find ideas and bring them to life with words. Also appearing will be attorney STACEY SCHLITZ, founder of SCHLITZLAW, offering guidance on protecting intellectual property such as content, performance rights, contracts, and other issues becoming increasingly relevant in the entertainment field and Country radio.
The A&O&B team will present its 11th annual online perceptual study, "Roadmap 2016," including Country P1 trends in music, digital consumption, social networking, and more from thousands of P1s from across the UNITED STATES and CANADA. Additional panels and speakers will be announced in coming weeks. The seminar is free and is open to all clients as well as to broadcasters in non-competitive situations.
