On WEDNESDAY (1/13), iHEARTMEDIA AC KOST (103.5 FM)/LOS ANGELES welcomed ISLAND/REPUBLIC recording artist ELTON JOHN and his band to the WILTERN THEATER for the premiere of their forthcoming album, "Wonderful Crazy Night" due FRIDAY (FEBRUARY 5th).
ELTON JOHN and his band performed selected tracks from his new album including the debut single "Looking Up," "A Good Life" and "Blue Wonderful," along with classics like, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Benny And The Jets,", "Your Song," "Tiny Dancer," "Levon," "Still Standing," "Burn Down The Mission," "Sad Sog," "Philadelphia Freedom." "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" and more.
ELTON paid tribute to the late DAVID BOWIE by sharing the story about how he found producer GUS DUDGEON after being impressed with his work on the "Space Oddity" album. He then tracked down DUDGEON to produce JOHN's second self-titled album and many of the artist's most notable works. This was followed by an amazing extended solo introduction which resolved nicely into JOHN's own celestial-themed hit, "Rocket Man".
Special guests DEMI LOVATO performed a duet with ELTON JOHN on "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," SHAWN MENDEZ sang "Tiny Dancer," and PATRICK STUMP of FALL OUT BOY joined the band for a rockin' version "Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)."
ALL ACCESS sends big thank you out to MANNY SIMON and NIKKI NOLLETTI of ISLAND/REPUBLIC RECORDS and KOST (103. FM) for a very special evening of music.
