Johnny And Blondie Have Left The Building

CUMULUS MEDIA Classic HIts WHNN (96.,1)/SAGINAW/BAY CITY/MIDLAND, MI, is dropping its Classic Hits format for an AC-style "music from the '80s, '90 and today" playlist, effective today at 5p (ET).

Longtime iconic morning show hosts JOHNNY BURKE and BLONDIE have exited the station.

WHNN will be known as “MY 96.1 … The Best Variety of Yesterday and Today,” according to a release. The last time the station adjusted its format was in 2000.

“This evolution will provide our listeners with a better variety of music of yesterday and today, a better listener experience, and our advertisers, a more targeted opportunity for success,” WHNN said in a press release.
