RADIO ONE has won its case involving former employee KELLY VAUGHN in federal court on a summary judgement. (Entire Summary)
In 2014 VAUGHN, former news anchor of RADIO ONE Gospel WTLC-A (1310 THE LIGHT)/INDIANAPOLIS filed suit in federal court against RADIO ONE alleging the station discriminated by firing her and not a male host over issues involving a proposed TV show.
The allegations stemmed from the development of a TV/Radio project which involved the late AMOS BROWN. (NET NEWS 6/10/2014)
The summary indicated RADIO ONE had not discriminated by giving BROWN a warning letter and terminating her employment over various circumstances involving the proposed show. The Judgement pointed out VAUGHN and BROWN had different employment responsibilities.
