NEW YORK METS cable TV voice GARY COHEN won't have anything else to do during the playoffs, since network coverage preempts local TV and cable coverage, so he'll be joining CBS Sports WFAN-A/NEW YORK's team for guest appearances as color analyst in the fifth inning and play-by-play in the sixth inning of the station's local coverage of the METS' playoff games. COHEN will join HOWIE ROSE and TOM MCCARTHY in the game coverage; he was WFAN's METS voice for 17 years before moving to the team's new regional cable channel SPORTSNET NEW YORK.
