CUMULUS Country WNSH (NASH FM)/NEW YORK has tapped radio vet SHILA NATHAN for middays effective MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8th. She succeeds KELLY FORD, who left in DECEMBER to co-host the company’s nationally syndicated and NASHVILLE-based “AMERICA’S MORNING SHOW” (NET NEWS 12/4).
“SHILA brings the energy, passion, and connection to Country music and the lifestyle,” said WNSH PD JOHN FOXX. “She is the perfect fit for NASH FM. SHILA is engaging and entertaining, has built relationships with the artists, and the TRI STATE is going to fall in love with her. I'm beyond excited to have her on the dial and in the hallways.”
SHILA’s arrival in NEW YORK solves the “soon-to-be-announced” mystery from last week, when she announced her departure from CBS RADIO Country WUSN/CHICAGO (NET NEWS 1/13). She originally joined the station in APRIL of 2014 from ENTERCOM Country WGGY/SCRANTON, PA; her radio resume includes stops at WRDW and WYSP/PHILADELPHIA.
“What an exciting and unexpected opportunity at NASH FM 94.7 in NEW YORK CITY,” said SHILA “I'm so grateful that I found an opportunity that brings me close to home and my family and allows me to pursue my passion of radio on the world's biggest platform. What a great time to be in Country music!”
