Condolences to family and friends of VILKIE COMMUNICATIONS Oldies WMVL (COOL 101.7)/MEADVILLE, PA morning host DAVE HANAHAN, who died SATURDAY (1/23) after a battle of cancer at 69.

HANAHAN began his career at WPIC-A-F/SHARON, PA and WZPR-A (now WMGW-A)/MEADVILLE.

The station aired a special morning show in HANAHAN's memory on its own frequency as well as sister Oldies simulcast WGRP-A-WLOA-A/SHARON.   On its Facebook page, the station posted, "It is with a heavy heart we learn our long-time morning host, sports guy, and all around true broadcaster DAVE HANAHAN has passed away.  Radio won't be the same without his voice. "
