KNDN/Farmington, NM Station Manager/Host George Werito Dies

Condolences to family and friends of BASIN BROADCASTING CO. Navajo KNDN-A/FARMINGTON, NM Station Manager and morning host GEORGE WERITO, who died SUNDAY (1/24), according to a press release issued by the NAVAJO NATION's Office of the President and Vice President.

NAVAJO NATION President RUSSELL BEGAYE said that WERITO "was one of my closest friends and I consulted with him on critical issues  I will miss him greatly.... In GEORGE WERITO, the NAVAJO NATION has lost a leader and great radio personality who was unparalleled in his ability to communicate complex issues in a very articulate way in the Navajo language."
