Kansas Noncomm Gets Grant For New Tower

Public radio network RADIO KANSAS has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration to help build a new tower in HUTCHINSON for noncommercial KHCC/HUTCHINSON-WICHITA, according to the HUTCHINSON NEWS. The station had received $325,000 from the state for the tower, contingent on getting the federal grant; the station will launch fundraising efforts to raise the additional aprroximately $75,000 needed to build the tower.
