COLUMBIA NASHVILLE artist TYLER FARR has been placed on total vocal rest following a microlaryngeal surgery to remove a polyp on his vocal chords, a problem which was identified during a case of bronchitis. Having cancelled all of his shows for the next few months, FARR will now begin vocal rest, followed by aggressive therapy at VANDERBILT VOICE CLINIC in NASHVILLE in order to perform again in the SPRING.
"I hate cancelling shows," said FARR, "especially the upcoming tour with my buddy LEE BRICE, but I never want to give the fans less than everything...And I know the sooner I let my body heal, the sooner I can get back out there -- and the fewer problems I will have in the long run. To me, it's never about the next few days, but doing the right thing overall, and now I'm under doctor's orders." For more information visit FARR's website here.
Meanwhile, back on the LEE BRICE tour, JERROD NIEMANN, MADDIE & TAE, and CLARE DUNN have been added to select dates to fill the support role left vacant by FARR's vocal rest. Due to FARR's illness and the lineup changes, three dates have been canceled. For a full listing of current tour dates and corresponding support acts, visit BRICE's website.
