Hip Hop Awards Celebration Slated For Seattle

SEATTLE Mayor GREG NICKELS will present the 5th Annual MAYOR’S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE in Hip Hop at THE MUSICA FESTIVAL, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7 at City Hall. This award acknowledges and honors innovative performance, community service and entrepreneurial achievement from locally-based members of the hip-hop community whose work has had significant impact in SEATTLE. The awards ceremony will cap the three-day festival featuring performances by local and national artists, panel discussions related to issues in the music industry, and a hip-hop marketplace.
