It was just two weeks ago (NET NEWS 1/25) that ALL ACCESS reported UNIVISION COMMUNICATIONS had named veteran radio programmer and executive ALEJANDRO NIETO MOLINA as SVP and GM/Radio. NIETO MOLINA was most recently CEO of SPAIN's CADENA SER and previously VP/Programming at GRUPO PRISA's U.S. and LATIN AMERICA operations and Dir./Programming, host and director at COLOMBIA's CARACOL.
Now comes the sad news from the company that NIETO MOLINA died MONDAY (2/8) in MIAMI after suffering a heart attack.
UNIVISION posted the news online, adding he was a "journalist and industrial engineer who inherited the passion for radio from his father, the journalist JULIO NIETO BERNAL. He cut his teeth in management, but said that what he liked most was to talk into the microphone."
