MULTICULTURAL RADIO BROADCASTING LICENSEE, LLC is selling Korean KYPA-A/LOS ANGELES to WOORI MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $6.2 million plus a tower lease at MULTICULTURAL's combined site for Spanish Religion KBLA-A (AVIVA RADIO), IMMACULATE HEART RADIO Religion KHJ-A, and KYPA-A at $6,500 per month for 10 years with one five year renewal term.
In other filings with the FCC, THE CASPER RADIO GROUP, INC. is selling a trio of CASPER market stations -- Country KDAD (NEW COUNTRY 92.5)/BAR NUNN, WY, Active Rock KTED/EVANSVILLE, WY, and Oldies KZQL (KOOL 105)/MILLS, WY -- to BRECK MEDIA GROUP WYOMING, INC. for $963,000.
THOMAS HINES has requested a Silent STA for WVLQ/PORT ST. JOE, FL while it builds a new tower.
SHELBY BROADCAST ASSOCIATES, LLC has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for W256CD/FULTONDALE, AL due to damage to its transmission line.
FAMILY STATIONS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for W208BU/BERWICK, PA while it awaits closing of its sale to VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC.
And BRUNSWICK COUNTY BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of W236AD/LAWRENCEVILLE, VA to BRISTOL BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. for $40,000.
The Commission also denied SOUND COMMUNICATIONS' appeal of a $7,000 fine for a tower fencing violation at News-Talk WENY-A/ELMIRA, NY and also denied J & J BROADCASTING's appeal of a $10,500 fine for public file and tower ownership transfer notification violations at Adult Hits WIMI (99.7 THE STORM) and Classic Country-Talk WJMS-A (REAL COUNTRY US 59)/IRONWOOD, MI.
Midwest Adds One In Nashville
A CUMULUS spinoff is being sold by JOULE BROADCASTING, LLC, with Top 40 WNFN (i106)/MILLERSVILLE-NASHVILLE, TN going to MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for an undisclosed price. MEDIA SERVICES GROUP represented JOULE for the deal, yet to appear in the FCC database.
MIDWEST President/CEO DUKE WRIGHT said, “We love NASHVILLE and are delighted to be able to add WNFN to our growing MIDWEST family. We have enjoyed measurable success since entering the NASHVILLE market and have no doubt that WNFN will be a terrific complement to our existing radio brands, (AC) WJXA (MIX 92.9) and (Adult Hits) WCJK (96.3 JACK FM).”
