Media Monitors: Cruz, Rubio Bought Most Radio Ads In South Carolina Campaign So Far

MEDIA MONITORS' tracking of presidential primary campaign ad spending in SOUTH CAROLINA shows that TED CRUZ and MARCO RUBIO are, through their Super PACs, spending the most on radio so far.
In the JANUARY 1st-FEBRUARY 7th period, RUBIO's CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS Super PAC bought 836 radio ads, with 396 in CHARLESTON, 220 in COLUMBIA, and 220 in GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG. CRUZ' KEEP THE PROMISE I bought 712 spots, 191 in CHARLESTON, 139 in COLUMBIA and 382 in GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, and TED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT bought 337 spots in the three markets, putting CRUZ on top overall. HILLARY CLINTON bought 575 spots, DONALD TRUMP 336, BERNIE SANDERS 235, JEB BUSH 235, BEN CARSON 182, and Dr. WILLIE WILSON, a CHICAGO businessman and Gospel artist/producer running as a Democrat, bought 152 spots.
On the negative side, JEB BUSH's RIGHT TO RISE USA bought 120 ads against RUBIO, and RUBIO's CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS placed 108 anti-CRUZ ads.
